Chief of the General Staff of Ukraine: Situation on the eastern front is bad
Stockholm, April 14 (Hibya) - Ukraine's Chief of General Staff says the situation on the eastern front has deteriorated "significantly".
The situation on the eastern front has worsened in recent days as Russia intensified its armored offensive and the battle for control of a village west of the devastated city of Bakhmut intensified, Ukraine's chief of the General Staff said on Saturday.
"The situation on the eastern front has deteriorated significantly in recent days," General Oleksandr Syrskyi said, adding that the gloomy mood in Kiev was reflected by the fact that more than two years after Russia's invasion, vital US military aid Kiev had expected to receive months ago remained stuck in Congress.
Zelensky said in his evening speech that, "On the front line, in some regions, the situation is difficult."
