Cassis elected Vice President of the Federal Council for 2026
Vienna, 10 December (Hibya) – Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis has been elected by the Federal Assembly as Vice President of the Federal Council for 2026.
Cassis thanked the Parliament for its confidence and said he looks forward to constructive cooperation in the coming year.
He also congratulated his colleague Guy Parmelin, who was elected President of the Federal Council for 2026, expressing his satisfaction at continuing their joint work.
