Carney: Canadians deserve to feel safe
Ottawa, May 11 (Hibya) - Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced amendments to the Criminal Code and the recruitment of 1,000 new law enforcement personnel across the country in order to enhance public safety.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney emphasized that citizens have the right to live in a safe environment and stated that they are taking determined steps in the fight against crime and preventive security measures.
Highlighting that the capacity of security forces will be increased, Carney said: “Canadians deserve to feel safe in the communities where they live. That is why we are strengthening the Criminal Code and hiring 1,000 new RCMP officers across the country.”
