Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen made a statement on bilateral relations and regional cooperation ahead of his meeting with Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan as part of his visit to Ankara.

Emphasizing the importance of relations with Türkiye, Berendsen said: “Türkiye is our strategic partner and a key NATO ally. In these turbulent geopolitical times, we must work to deepen our ties. That is why I am visiting Ankara.”

Referring to the content of the visit and the topics to be discussed, Berendsen stated: “I will meet with my Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan; we will discuss our cooperation, the situation in the Middle East, and more.”
