According to China Central Television (CCTV), Belgium’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot will pay an official visit to China between April 27 and May 1.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian stated that the visit will take place at the invitation of Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Referring to relations between the two countries, Lin Jian said: “China and Belgium are comprehensive partners of friendly cooperation. In recent years, high-level contacts have increased, and cooperation in many areas, especially trade and investment, has yielded concrete results.”
