Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot stated that they welcomed the European Union’s (EU) new sanctions decision targeting violent Israeli settlers, settler organizations, and Hamas leaders.

Referring to the diplomatic dimension of the process, Prevot said, “After months of deadlock, thanks to the change of government in Budapest, the EU today decided to impose new additional sanctions against violent Israeli settlers and settler organizations, as well as leading Hamas figures.”

Speaking about Belgium’s stance, he said, “On behalf of Belgium, I have been advocating for this at the European table for a very long time.”

Evaluating the purpose of the sanctions and the situation in the region, Prevot stated, “These sanctions send a clear message: extremism and violence have consequences. Illegal settlements and the increasing settler violence against Palestinians are unacceptable and undermine the possibility of a two-state solution.”
