Beijing declares highest alert level in five districts due to heavy rain
Stockholm, August 4 (Hibya) – The National Meteorological Center of the People's Republic of China reported that authorities in the Chinese capital have declared the highest danger level in five districts of the city due to expected heavy rainfall.
Heavy rains are expected to start on Monday, August 4, and continue through Wednesday, August 7.
The Ming Pao newspaper reported that 80,000 people were evacuated from Beijing on July 29 due to the heavy rainfall. It was also noted that search and rescue operations continue in the affected areas.
