Araghchi: Blockading Iranian ports is an act of war
Tehran, April 21 (Hibya) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi made remarks regarding restrictions on Iranian ports, the security of commercial vessels, and his country’s stance on these developments.
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi stated that the imposed blockade constitutes an act of war.
Referring to the consequences of interventions against ports, Araghchi said: “Blockading Iranian ports is an act of war and therefore a violation of the ceasefire.”
Criticizing violations against the safety of commercial navigation, Araghchi added: “Attacking a commercial vessel and taking its crew hostage is an even greater violation.”
Emphasizing his country’s determination, Araghchi stated: “Iran knows how to neutralize restrictions, defend its interests, and resist coercion.”
