Anand: Trade and investment cooperation with India is strengthening
Manila, July 22 (Hibya) - Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand said that her meeting with Indian External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar in Manila focused on advancing cooperation in critical minerals, agriculture, and education.
Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand announced that she met with Indian External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar in Manila, where they held talks on enhancing trade, investment, and strategic cooperation between the two countries.
Anand recalled that during her visit to India in March with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, common ground was established with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on increasing trade and investment and strengthening ties between the peoples of the two countries.
She said that the Manila meeting advanced cooperation in critical minerals, agriculture, and education, adding that bilateral merchandise trade between Canada and India reached $10.9 billion last year, providing a strong foundation for future economic cooperation.
