Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa met yesterday with a delegation of Syrian experts working in the technology and innovation sector at the People's Palace in Damascus.

According to a statement from the Syrian Presidency, the meeting was attended by Syrians working at global technology companies, as well as entrepreneurs, investors, and researchers in technological fields. Syrian Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdulsalam Haykal was also present.

The meeting addressed opportunities to develop Syria's technology sector. Discussions focused on leveraging the expertise of Syrian specialists and qualified human resources in artificial intelligence and digital transformation, supporting innovation and entrepreneurship, and expanding opportunities for cooperation with global technology companies and institutions.
