Canberra, 9 February (Hibya) – Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong issued a statement regarding the prison sentences handed down to Jimmy Lai and other defendants.
Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong commented on the convictions handed down to Jimmy Lai and the co-defendants tried in Hong Kong.
Expressing her condolences to the families and supporters, Wong said, “The Australian Government is deeply concerned about the sentences imposed today in Hong Kong on Jimmy Lai and other defendants. We extend our condolences to their families and supporters during this difficult time.”
