Wong: I congratulate Rahman on the BNP’s landslide victory
Canberra, 15 February (Hibya) - Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong congratulated the people of Bangladesh and Prime Minister-elect Tarique Rahman following the BNP’s election victory.
In a message released after the elections in Bangladesh, Australian Foreign Minister Wong congratulated the people of Bangladesh and Prime Minister-elect Rahman.
In her message, Wong stated, “I congratulate the people of Bangladesh and Prime Minister-elect Tarique Rahman on the BNP’s landslide victory.”
Referring to the relations between Australia and Bangladesh, Wong said, “Australia and Bangladesh share a strong partnership. We look forward to deepening our cooperation for the peace, stability and prosperity of our region.”
