Ukrainian President Zelensky announced that he spoke with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

He expressed his gratitude to Qatar for participating in the Peace Summit and highly appreciated its role in the return of 53 Ukrainian children forcibly taken by Russia, emphasizing that they received essential medical and psychological care.

Zelensky added that they agreed to continue working on the return of other Ukrainian children forcibly displaced by Russia and made the following statement:

“We also discussed cooperation to support Syria. Ukraine, which has already sent 500 tons of wheat flour to Syria, continues to be a guarantor of global food security and invited Qatar to support Ukraine’s humanitarian initiative to provide further assistance to Syria.”
