Tsahkna: Estonia plans to contribute to Gaza’s future reconstruction
Tallinn, January 13 (Hibya) – Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna held a meeting with Israel’s Ambassador to Estonia, Amit Gil-Bayaz, regarding Israel’s plans to open an embassy in Tallinn.
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna met with Israel’s Ambassador to Estonia, Amit Gil-Bayaz, to discuss bilateral relations and Israel’s plans to open an embassy in Tallinn.
Tsahkna noted that Russia’s war in Ukraine, developments in the Middle East, and protests in Iran were also discussed, adding: “We welcome the United States’ mediation efforts aimed at achieving peace and the release of hostages. We emphasize the importance of preserving agreed frameworks that enable the disarmament of Hamas, the reconstruction of Gaza, and the provision of uninterrupted humanitarian access.”
Tsahkna added that Estonia plans to contribute to Gaza’s future reconstruction in close cooperation with partners, including through the country’s digital expertise.
