U.S. President Donald Trump recalled that Iran apologized to its neighbors in the Middle East and promised that it would no longer fire at them.

Trump said that Iran took this step after the attacks carried out by the United States and Israel: “This promise was made only because of the relentless attacks by the U.S. and Israel. They wanted to take over and govern the Middle East. This is the first time in thousands of years that Iran has lost to the Middle Eastern countries around it.”

Trump also argued that Iran’s influence in the region has weakened, saying: “Iran is no longer the ‘bully of the Middle East’, but the ‘loser of the Middle East’, and it will remain so for decades until it surrenders or, more likely, collapses completely.”

The U.S. President added that military pressure on Iran may continue: “Today Iran will be hit very hard. Some regions and groups that had not previously been considered targets due to Iran’s bad behavior are now being seriously considered for complete destruction and certain death.”
