Trump: If Canada makes a deal with China, we will impose a 100% tariff
Washington, January 24 (Hibya) – US President Donald Trump announced that if Canada reaches an agreement with China, all Canadian-origin goods and products entering the United States will immediately be subject to a 100% customs tariff.
US President Trump said about Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney: “If Governor Carney thinks he can turn Canada into a ‘transshipment hub’ for sending Chinese goods and products into the United States, he is very mistaken.”
Stating that China would virtually “eat Canada alive,” destroying its businesses, social fabric and overall way of life, Trump said that if Canada makes a deal with China, all Canadian-origin goods and products entering the United States will immediately be subject to a 100% customs tariff.
