Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha met with his Estonian counterpart Margus Tsahkna in Luxembourg.

Sybiha said he had briefed Tsahkna on the situation on the battlefield and Russia's ongoing attacks on Ukraine, particularly attacks targeting energy infrastructure.

Sybiha stated that they had also discussed advancing Ukraine's European Union accession process and coordinating common positions ahead of the Foreign Affairs Council meeting. He thanked Estonia for its strong support.

Sybiha said they had agreed on the need to further increase pressure on Russia, adding that new steps had been discussed, including "measures targeting the supply chains that fuel Russia's war machine and a strong 22nd sanctions package."

"Frozen Russian assets should serve Ukraine. The aggressor must pay," Sybiha said. He also thanked Estonia for its latest contribution of 100,000 euros to strengthen Ukraine's energy resilience ahead of winter.

Sybiha noted that the meeting had also addressed preparations for the 2027 Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC 2027), planned to take place in Estonia. He added that the two sides had agreed to remain in close contact.
