Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof made statements at the end of his Davos visit regarding his international engagements and developments related to Ukraine.

Assessing the visit, Schoof said: “I look back on two valuable days in Davos during which I held many international meetings with heads of government as well as international businesses. At a time when there are many urgent issues in the world, these meetings were very important.”

Noting that he concluded his visit with a Ukraine-themed session, Schoof stated: “My World Economic Forum visit ended today with a breakfast session on Ukraine. Together with various heads of government, including Finnish President Alexander Stubb and my Belgian counterpart Bart De Wever, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Taras Kachka, Ukrainian soldiers, U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, we discussed the path toward lasting peace in Ukraine.”

Expressing appreciation for Washington’s peace efforts and emphasizing the need to increase pressure on Russia, Schoof concluded: “The Dutch government greatly appreciates the United States’ efforts to advance peace talks between Russia and Ukraine. We see that Russian attacks on Ukraine continue on a daily basis; therefore, we must increase the pressure. Our support for Ukraine continues uninterrupted.”
