Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov stated that the state visit of Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon to Uzbekistan was highly productive.

Saidov noted that the first meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council, held under the leadership of the presidents of the two countries, was undoubtedly a historic turning point and opened a new page in the strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. “Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Emomali Rahmon clearly outlined the key strategic priorities that will shape the long-term agenda and ensure the steady development of bilateral cooperation,” he said.

Saidov also emphasized that the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan will give special importance to the effective implementation of agreements reached at the highest level and to achieving tangible results.
