Qatar and Germany hold talks on regional de-escalation diplomacy
Berlin, April 15 (Hibya) – Qatar and Germany discussed regional developments involving Iran and the United States, as well as efforts to reduce tensions, during a meeting in Berlin.
In Berlin, Qatar’s Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi met with German Federal Foreign Office State Secretary Geza Andreas von Geyr.
During the meeting held on April 15, 2026, regional issues were discussed, particularly recent developments between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran. The parties exchanged views on the need to intensify diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions and contribute to regional security and stability.
The German side expressed appreciation for Qatar’s diplomatic role in supporting regional and international stability, emphasizing that the strategic partnership between the two countries continues to strengthen across various fields.
