Prevot: Belgium has not signed the Peace Council Charter
Brussels, January 22 (Hibya) – Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot said that claims alleging Belgium has signed the Peace Council Charter do not reflect the truth.
Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot made a statement regarding the announcement circulating in the international public sphere.
Clarifying his country’s position on the Peace Council Charter, Prevot said: “Belgium has not signed the Peace Council Charter. This announcement is incorrect.”
Emphasizing the need for a common approach across Europe, Prevot added: “We want a joint and coordinated response at the European level. Like many European countries, we have reservations about this proposal.”
