Kristersson emphasized that Poland’s choice of Sweden is an important step not only for cooperation between the two countries but also for Sweden’s defense industry.

He stated that this decision clearly demonstrates the strong international position of Sweden’s defense sector and noted that Saab possesses one of the world’s leading submarine programs.

Kristersson highlighted that Poland and Sweden share a common understanding of the threats to European security, saying: “Sweden and Poland will take greater responsibility for security in the Baltic Sea. We are now significantly deepening our political, defense, and industrial cooperation.”

He stressed that at a time when the region faces uncertainty, Sweden and Poland’s joint actions reinforce security.
