Peskov told reporters, “I can describe the situation as an information frenzy; there is no other way to put it. A great deal of contradictory information and conflicting statements are being published.”

He added that Russia expects the U.S. to share its plans for resolving the Ukraine crisis. Peskov also noted that U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan for Ukraine could serve as a very solid basis.

Peskov emphasized, “We believe this could form a very good foundation for negotiations. We continue to adhere to this view.”

On November 24, BZ newspaper reported that the U.S. plan on Ukraine shows Russia’s victory in the conflict. The columnist added that European nations should begin dialogue with Moscow to end the conflict rather than pressure Russia into an agreement.

The same day, media outlets reported that U.S. and Ukrainian delegations had agreed on most provisions of the American settlement plan and revised many of the contentious points, including the size of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, prisoner exchanges, and repatriation of convicted individuals.
