The top-performing stocks in the United States (US) markets for the day have been announced.

PayPal Holdings topped the list with a 17.20 percent gain.

BlackRock followed PayPal with a 6.63 percent increase. CBRE Group gained 6.22 percent, while Invesco rose 5.47 percent and Bank of New York Mellon advanced 5.08 percent.

Pentair also stood out among the day's biggest gainers. The company's shares climbed 14.997 percent.

Erie Indemnity gained 11.86 percent, Dell Technologies rose 9.81 percent, Progressive advanced 9.43 percent, and Western Digital increased 8.78 percent.

Investor buying was particularly concentrated in financial and technology companies in the US markets.
