Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Dar completes China visit
Islamabad, January 5 (Hibya) – Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, co-chaired the 7th Pakistan-China Strategic Dialogue held in Beijing and launched activities marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Dar, departed Beijing following his successful visit to China from January 3–5, 2026. In 2026, Dar became the first foreign minister to be received by China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
During the visit, Dar co-chaired the 7th Pakistan-China Strategic Dialogue with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. He also held meetings with Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang, Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China Liu Haixing, President of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) Chen Xiaodong, and Vice President of China Minmetals Corporation Xu Jiqing.
Dar noted that official commemorative events marking the 75th anniversary of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations were also launched as part of the visit and said:
“I thank the team of the Pakistan Embassy in Beijing and our delegation for ensuring the successful completion of the 7th Strategic Dialogue. Their support and dedication throughout the visit continue to contribute to strengthening Pakistan-China relations.”
