Indices in Asia-Pacific markets generally showed an upward trend, while a slight decline was observed in the Australian stock market.

Australia’s benchmark ASX 200 index fell by 0.11 percent to 8,776.60 points. In contrast, Japan’s Nikkei index rose by 1.93 percent to 60,866.49 points.

In India, the Nifty 50 index gained 0.82 percent to reach 24,093.50 points, while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index increased by 0.15 percent to 26,016.21. In China, the Shanghai Composite Index also rose by 0.15 percent to trade at 4,085.876 points.

It was observed that investors’ risk appetite across the region remained moderately positive.
