Metsola’s farewell message to Portuguese President de Sousa
Brussels, February 27 (Hibya) - European Parliament President Roberta Metsola thanked outgoing Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa for his contributions to European values and unity.
European Parliament President Roberta Metsola made a statement on the occasion of the completion of Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa’s term in office.
Metsola expressed her pleasure at hosting de Sousa and highlighted the Portuguese leader’s European vision.
In praising de Sousa’s leadership throughout his term, Metsola said, "I am deeply grateful for all you have done for Portugal, for your commitment to Europe, for your leadership and friendship, and for your continued support of the values upheld by the European Parliament."
