Brussels, September 11 (Hibya) – European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen made a statement following the release of political prisoners in Belarus.
European Commission President Leyen said that the release of political prisoners in Belarus is good news.
She expressed her happiness that her colleague Mikalai Khilo was also among those released and announced that Mikalai had safely arrived at their representation in Vilnius.
Leyen thanked U.S. President Donald Trump for his support and said: “Our efforts to secure the release of all political prisoners continue.”
