Lahbib: The European Union remains a reliable partner
Cairo, 27 November (Hibya) – EU Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib stated that she examined refugee flows at the UNHCR’s only registration center in Egypt.
Lahbib noted that they reviewed refugee flows and more than one million registrations at the UNHCR center in Egypt.
She said, “Sudanese refugees constitute 76% of the total. Despite severe funding gaps, the protection of civilians must remain a priority.”
Lahbib added, “The European Union continues to be a reliable partner.”
