According to CCTV, the Gaza-based Ard El Insan Palestinian Benevolent Association announced that its warehouses in Deir al-Balah were damaged in an Israeli strike last week and that nearly all of the stored supplies were destroyed.

The warehouses were reported to contain special food products and nutritional supplements for children, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers. The supplies were distributed through United Nations-supported programs aimed at combating malnutrition in Gaza.

Wiam Siam, the association's public relations director, said the strike resulted in the loss of 35 percent of the stored supplies, warning that this could affect the health of mothers and children, who are among the most vulnerable groups in the Gaza Strip.

A large number of health points across Gaza that rely on nutritional products were also reported to have been affected by the strike, potentially causing disruptions to nutrition services for women and children.

A recent study by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) also warned of chronic malnutrition, inadequate nutritional conditions and disease among children in Gaza. Growth retardation was detected in more than 12 percent of the children assessed, while more than half of pregnant women were reported to be suffering from severe anemia.

According to health authorities in Gaza, at least 73,449 Palestinians have been killed and 174,472 people injured in Israeli attacks since October 2023.

It was stated that the ceasefire reached with US support in October 2025 halted large-scale fighting in Gaza, but Israeli attacks did not end. Israel maintains that its strikes are aimed at preventing threats posed by Hamas and other armed groups, while Hamas accuses Israel of repeatedly violating the ceasefire.
