Herzog: We will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder in the fight against antisemitism
Jerusalem, March 23 (Hibya) - Israeli President Isaac Herzog condemned the arson attack targeting ambulances in front of a synagogue in London.
Israeli President Isaac Herzog made a statement regarding the antisemitic attack that took place in London, the capital of the United Kingdom, during his visit to the city of Kiryat Shemona in northern Israel.
Expressing his sorrow over the attack, Herzog said: "I met with the leaders of Hatzola North West London and the Community Security Trust in the United Kingdom to express my deep shock and concern following the antisemitic arson attack against Hatzola ambulances outside a synagogue in London’s Golders Green area."
Drawing attention to the safety of the Jewish community, Herzog said: "The Jewish community in Britain is one of Europe’s oldest and most vibrant communities, and it must be able to live, worship, and thrive in safety."
Herzog concluded his statement with the words: "We will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with you in the critical fight against antisemitism."
