New York, February 9 (Hibya) – United Nations (UN) Secretary-General António Guterres highlighted the importance of international law, dialogue, and cooperation in resolving global challenges.
UN Secretary-General António Guterres made a statement regarding the founding principles of the United Nations and global diplomacy.
Guterres said, “The founders of the UN understood that global problems can only be resolved through diplomatic tools supported by a system based on international law.”
Stressing that solutions lie in dialogue rather than conflict, Guterres stated, “Not through zero-sum rhetoric of division, but through dialogue. And this will be achieved not through geopolitical rivalry, but through cooperation.”
