Foreign ministers of Pakistan and Uzbekistan hold talks
Islamabad, April 9 (Hibya) – The foreign ministers of Pakistan and Uzbekistan discussed regional developments and the ceasefire process.
Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar held a phone call with Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bahtiyor Saidov.
According to a statement by Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the sides discussed recent developments in the Middle East and surrounding regions.
The statement noted that Saidov appreciated Pakistan’s initiatives for peace and stability, stating, “Uzbekistan fully supports all initiatives undertaken by Pakistan, including ensuring the two-week ceasefire process.”
The sides also expressed a shared hope that “ongoing contacts will promote lasting peace and stability in the region and beyond.”
