Fiala: Measures to prevent the price increase of emission permits have been approved
Prague, 27 November (Hibya) – Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala announced that the concrete measures they submitted to the European Commission to prevent the price increase of ETS2 emission permits have been approved.
Prime Minister Fiala stated that with the decision to prevent the increase in ETS2 permit prices, they fulfilled their promise not to allow sudden hikes in housing and fuel prices, and that with the new legislation it will be possible to effectively limit the prices of emission permits.
Fiala added: “The new government must continue negotiations and, as representatives of the ANO movement promised before the elections, secure support for further regulation and the abolition of the entire system. We have kept our word.”
