EGX 30 and All Morocco Shares decline
Selling pressure dominated North African stock markets throughout the day.
The trading day ended with losses in the leading equity markets across the African continent. Regional indices remained in negative territory under the impact of global selling pressure.
Morocco’s benchmark All Morocco Shares (MASI) index fell 278.34 points, or 1.47 percent, to 18,652.72 points, making it the worst-performing index in the region. Egypt’s main EGX 30 index closed the day at 54,866.04 points with a limited decline of 0.13 percent. In Tunisia, the Tunindex fell 0.23 percent to 19,408.31 points.
