Death toll in Gaza surpasses 71,000
Ramallah, January 4 (Hibya) – Health authorities in Gaza announced that the number of people killed in the ongoing clashes since October 7, 2023 has risen to 71,384.
According to CCTV, Gaza health authorities said in a statement issued on Saturday that since the outbreak of clashes between the Palestinian Islamic Movement and Israel on October 7, 2023, the total death toll in the region has reached 71,384.
During the same period, the number of injured rose to 171,251.
Health authorities also shared data covering the period since the ceasefire agreement between Israel and the Palestinian Islamic Movement came into effect on October 11, 2025.
Officials stress that in Gaza, where deaths and injuries continue to rise, the need for medical assistance and humanitarian support has reached a critical level.
