Albares: Lebanon deserves to live in peace and security
Madrid, April 7 (Hibya) - Spain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, Jose Manuel Albares, announced that they will continue to support efforts to disarm Hezbollah to ensure Lebanon’s stability.
Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares made assessments regarding the humanitarian situation caused by ongoing conflicts in Lebanon and the security strategies in the region.
Emphasizing the suffering of civilians, Albares said: "The situation in Lebanon is critical; more than 1 million people have been displaced and civilian infrastructure has been destroyed. Lebanon deserves to live in peace and security".
Clarifying Spain’s political stance on Lebanon’s future, Albares concluded: "Spain will continue to support the Lebanese government and efforts to disarm Hezbollah".
