According to The Guardian, Zelensky will visit Downing Street on Monday to show support for Ukraine and hold face-to-face meetings with Starmer, Macron, and Merz.

Starmer, in his meeting with the leaders of Ukraine, France, and Germany, will discuss ongoing talks between U.S. and Ukrainian officials aimed at reaching an agreement to guarantee Ukraine’s post-war security.

About two weeks ago, the four leaders took part in a virtual meeting of the “volunteers’ coalition,” where they discussed plans to establish a European peacekeeping force that could be deployed to Ukraine in the event of a ceasefire.

In a statement regarding the European Council meeting, the leaders expressed support for U.S. President Donald Trump’s view that the current line of contact should serve as the starting point for any negotiations.

Meanwhile, U.S. and Ukrainian officials are holding a third day of talks in Florida, following pressure from the Trump administration on Kyiv to accept a U.S.-backed peace plan.

Russian President Vladimir Putin rejected parts of the plan, saying that measures aimed at ensuring Ukraine’s territorial integrity and deterring future Russian aggression pose major problems for Moscow.

Starmer, who has repeatedly emphasized that Ukraine must determine its own future, said that the volunteers’ coalition peacekeeping force would play a “vital role” in ensuring the country’s security.
