UNRWA: International solidarity with Palestinian refugees must translate into action
New York, 29 November (Hibya) – Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), issued a message on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
Lazzarini emphasized that UNRWA represents the international community’s support and commitment to Palestinian refugees, noting that the agency continues this support until a political solution to the world’s longest unresolved refugee crisis is achieved.
He stated that UNRWA provides education and essential health services to millions of Palestinian refugees every day and stressed that addressing their situation is crucial for regional peace and stability.
