Spanish Prime Minister Sanchez discussed the situation in Gaza and Lebanon with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi over the phone.

Sanchez highlighted that both leaders have shown leadership in controlling regional tensions, stating: "I conveyed to them that Spain reiterates its commitment to peace and stability in the region. A ceasefire in Gaza is essential to de-escalating tensions in the region. We must continue to support the two-state solution, which is the only viable path to peace in the Middle East."

Sanchez stressed that Euro-Arab cooperation is crucial for achieving peace.
