Israeli Defense Minister Katz stated that he strongly condemns the severe attack by a group of rebels on Central Command Commander General Avi Belot and officers of the Israeli Armed Forces in Hebron.

Katz emphasized that harming IDF commanders and soldiers who have dedicated their lives to the security of Israel and its citizens is equivalent to harming the entire State of Israel. He added:

“I expect the law enforcement forces to bring the perpetrators to justice without delay. I also call on settlement leaders to strongly condemn such incidents. The State of Israel will not tolerate any form of violence against its servants.”
