UK Deputy Prime Minister and Justice Secretary Lammy announced that the government has allocated £550 million for support services aimed at victims.
Lammy emphasized that the purpose of the investment is to offer a “lifeline” to victims, noting that the funds will be used across a wide range of services—from psychological counselling to legal advice on court proceedings.
“This lifeline will help survivors pursue their cases to the end, secure convictions, and put dangerous criminals behind bars,” Lammy said.
