Hegseth: War Department preparing to take action
Washington, November 2 (Hibya) - U.S. War Secretary Pete Hegseth said the War Department is preparing to take action and that the Government of Nigeria is obliged to protect Christians.
U.S. President Donald Trump said: “If the Government of Nigeria continues to turn a blind eye to the killing of Christians, the United States will immediately cut off all aid and support to Nigeria and will likely, with ‘arms blazing’, enter that country — whose reputation is now tarnished — to fully eliminate those Islamic terrorists who committed these horrific atrocities.”
Trump said he had instructed the War Department to prepare for a possible operation, adding: “If we go on the offensive, it will be as swift, ruthless and ‘sweet’ as the attacks by which terrorist gangs struck our beloved Christians. The Government of Nigeria must act immediately!”
U.S. War Secretary Pete Hegseth said the killing of innocent Christians in Nigeria and everywhere must end immediately, stating:
“The War Department is preparing to take action. The Government of Nigeria is obliged to protect Christians; otherwise, we will eliminate those Islamic terrorists who perpetrated these horrific atrocities.”
