EP: Georgia cannot join the EU unless its government changes its stance
Brussels, May 19 (Hibya) – The European Parliament (EP) has stated that Georgia cannot join the European Union (EU) unless its government changes its authoritarian stance.
In a statement from the Parliament, it was emphasized that Georgia cannot join the EU unless the government changes its authoritarian approach.
The statement noted that the European Parliament stands with the Georgian people, saying: “The Parliament does not recognize Georgia’s current government and declares that the country’s EU path is effectively suspended until fair elections are held.”
