Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

German Foreign Minister Baerbock noted at COP29 that they found themselves in the midst of a geopolitical power play by some fossil fuel-dependent states, stating: “Unfortunately, their playground lies behind the poorest and most vulnerable countries. As the EU, we oppose Dubai abandoning the path of climate justice.”

Baerbock emphasized that the EU is confronting its historical responsibilities but stated that climate financing and CO2 reduction go hand in hand.

She also stated that, with presidential support, they would not allow the poorest countries to be plundered by new wealthy exporters, adding:

“Clear commitments are needed. We do this in the EU by reducing financial support and contributing more to climate justice. We continue to build bridges, especially for island and African nations whose concerns are ignored by the presidency.”

Baerbock explained that they introduced a new proposal for climate financing: “Now, all economic nations of the world are needed. This is about a highly reliable life insurance for the poorest; Europe cannot do this alone.”
